Join Stu Fuchs for a fun and soul-nourishing day of music making with Seattle's Ukulele Community! Presented by S.T.R.U.M.
Stu Fuchs (aka "Stukulele") is Grammy-nominated, internationally touring teaching artist with over 25 years of experience performing & teaching classical & jazz guitar, ukulele, didjeridoo and offering musical empowerment workshops in music schools, hospitals & for Fortune 500 executives.
Stu will be presenting this unique day-long ukulele immersion class - open to beginners and up. A DELICIOUS VEGETARIAN LUNCH IS INCLUDED!
Some basic experience on your Uke is recommended.
"Ukulele Zen" is a holistic music system that uses draws upon simple and accessible practices from the wisdom traditions of yoga, mindfulness meditation & qigong - applying them to music making process in a deep yet lighthearted way..
No experience in yoga or meditation is required to join in with this class and experience the profound benefits of these practices. We won't be folding ourselves into a pretzel! Chair seats will be provided for your comfort.

Stuart Fuchs is an internationally touring performing guitarist and ukulele artist who performs and teaches fun & innovative ukulele workshops at music festivals throughout North America, the Caribbean & Europe. Stuart is passionate about sharing music as a practice for self-care & wellness and keeps a busy schedule as a teaching artist for the global ukulele circuit, in school residencies and holistic retreat centers. Stuart blends mindfulness and music at his annual Ukulele Zen retreat held at the Omega Institute in Rhinebeck NY - his YouTube channel Ukulele Zen offers weekly ukulele lessons and inspiration to over 40,000 subscribers.
Fuchs, an accomplished guitarist in many styles, has arranged and performed the gypsy jazz guitar music of Django Reinhardt with his award winning gypsy jazz band Babik. Babik (Bah-Beek) was featured on PRIs "The World" and performed with full symphonic orchestras. In 2014 Stuart was awarded a grant from the National Endowment of the Arts for his work bringing healing music to cancer patients at Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo NY, where he was a professional artist in residence for eight years. Stuart has toured to three continents as a soloist and as guitarist with the internationally acclaimed new age Kirtan artist Snatam Kaur.
